Fashion Designer // Pattern Maker // Technical Designer
Kristine Amarillo Ponce is a Los Angeles–based fashion designer with deep expertise across both the creative and technical dimensions of apparel design. Her entry into fashion began with a fascination for garment construction, which evolved into a career defined by precision, craftsmanship, and thoughtful innovation.
She began professionally as a pattern maker, developing advanced capabilities in pattern drafting, draping, fit development, and garment construction. This technical rigor—grounded in a strong understanding of form, proportion, and fabrication—continues to inform her design approach.
Integrating technical mastery with a refined creative perspective, Kristine specializes in elevated womenswear that harmonizes structure with fluidity and precision with wearability. Her designs are driven by the goal of empowering women through confident, feminine, and expressive silhouettes.
From 2014 to 2021, Kristine led her independent label, Tale for Esther, producing collections that spanned special-occasion gowns, sophisticated eveningwear, and modern ready-to-wear.
Kristine is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), where she earned a degree in Fashion Design and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
