Fashion Designer // Pattern Maker // Technical Designer
Kristine Amarillo Ponce is a Los Angeles–based fashion designer with a strong foundation in both the creative and technical aspects of apparel design. Her passion for fashion began with a curiosity about how garments are made—an interest that evolved into a career built on precision, craftsmanship, and innovation.
Kristine began her career as a professional pattern maker, where she developed advanced technical skills in pattern drafting, draping, fit development, and garment construction. Her meticulous approach and understanding of form, proportion, and fabrication became the backbone of her design philosophy.
Combining her technical expertise with a refined creative vision, Kristine’s work focuses on elevated women’s wear—pieces that balance structure and softness, precision and ease. She aims to empower women through design that highlights confidence, femininity, and individuality.
From 2014 to 2021, Kristine directed her own label, Tale for Esther, producing collections that ranged from special occasion gowns and elegant eveningwear to bold, modern ready-to-wear.
Kristine is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), holding degrees in Fashion Design and BS in Business Management.
